What's On For The Coolbinia Knights

We are hosting a casual girls’ “come and try cricket” session soon! Perfect for any school aged girls from Year 3 to Year 9. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

When: Wednesday 18^th September at 5pm

Where: Coolbinia clubrooms, Bradford st side of Yokine Reserve

Bring: Water bottle and cricket gear if you have some (not required as we have plenty of equipment for everyone)

Wear: Casual sports clothing

Eat: Free pizza at 6:15pm

It’s the perfect chance to have a bowl in the nets, meet our players and make friends for the 2024-25 season.

We still have a few places to fill in all of our teams from Year 3 to Year 9.

We are the WA Metropolitan Junior Club of the Year!

We are proud to announce that Coolbinia received the Len Pavy Award to the Junior Metropolitan Community Cricket Club of the Year for 2024!

WA Cricket was very impressed with our innovations over the past few seasons. Thank you to all of our players, parents and volunteers for their incredible efforts. Here is the write up of our award:

“Coolbinia West Perth has a wonderful reputation of being a positive, warm and supportive environment for all it’s players and their families.
Coolbinia encourages participation and interaction from kids of all ages and abilities, and wants to allow kids no matter their background to come and play cricket.
Coolbinia is well known as a Club which plays cricket in the best possible spirit. The club ensures fair team delegation when there is more than one team in a division to ensure the right mix of abilities, personalities and friendships.
The club enjoys the competition element but would forgo a win in order to play fairly, positively and safely”.

Cricket Blast Wind Up 2024

Congratulations to all of our Cricket Blast participants for 2023-24!

We held a fun wind-up on 11th March to celebrate their achievements and hand out their medals. Huge thank you to our excellent leaders, Blasters coordinator Emma and Coach Tayla.

We look forward to seeing you all back at Coolbinia for another exciting season of cricket soon!

Year 4/5 girls, we need you!

We are excited to have a few spots left in our Year 4/5 all girls’ team for season 2023. Join our friendly and inclusive club to play junior cricket on a Saturday morning. The Coolbinia Knights are based at Yokine Reserve in the inner northern suburbs.

Games are only 2 hours and everyone gets an equal turn to bat and bowl
Training on Tuesdays from 5-6pm at Yokine Reserve
Awesome cricket equipment like helmets, pads and bats are all provided by the club
Have fun making new friends and learning about teamwork
Best of all, no one gets out!

Season starts Saturday 14th October 2023
