About Us
We believe community sport starts with community mindedness. As such we pride ourselves on inclusion across all genders and abilities.
Coolbinia Junior Cricket Club has run a specialist girls program for several years now. In addition we have junior mixed teams which are non-gender specific.
We also partner with Team Connect and Dianella Secondary College. This programme helps supports adolescent girls to participate in organized sport, with the aim of developing a sense of belonging and commitment to their community.
All ages, all abilities
From Kindy to Year 12, we have programs for all ages and abilities. Cricket Blasters for Kindy to Year 3, and Junior Club Cricket for Years 4 to 12.
Whilst Junior Cricket is competition based, it comprises three distinct stages. This allows for skill progression to develop organically through modified rules appropriate to each category.
At the Coolbinia Knights, we believe that fun and participation are paramount and that competitiveness should never interfere with that.
Team Connect
We are proud to partner with Team Connect WA. The aim of Team Connect is to create a link between secondary schools and local community junior cricket clubs that supports vulnerable adolescent girls to participate in organised sport, with the aim of developing a sense of belonging and commitment to their community.
Inclusion and All Abilities
At CWPJCC we welcome players, parents and volunteers of all genders, backgrounds and abilities. Cricket is a ‘Sport for All’ and we are committed to working with our local community to reduce any barriers to participation. We are happy to work in partnership with families to support their child’s successful access to our cricket programs. We already have established community partnerships with Autism in Cricket, TeamConnect and the Perth Scorchers Girls League.
